What is SNAP 2026?

SNAP is a computer-based test (CBT) conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University). A single SNAP score opens doors to 17 Symbiosis institutes offering around 29 MBA programmes, ranging from general management to specialised courses in Business Analytics, International Business, Operations, Banking & Finance, Healthcare, Sports Management, and more.

SNAP 2026: Official Notification

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) released the SNAP 2026 notification around mid-August 2026. Registration commenced on 21 August 2026. The university confirmed that SNAP will continue as a Computer-Based Test with three sessions in December. 

Notable updates this year include: 

- Introduction of a new section: Ethics, Morality and Values (10 questions). 

- Adjusted weightage in existing sections to accommodate the new one while keeping the total at 60 questions and 60 marks. 

- Confirmation of three test dates with the best score counting. 

- Fees: Rs. 2,550 per SNAP attempt + Rs. 1,000 per programme registration (taxes extra; both non-refundable and non-transferable). 

The official bulletin emphasises that candidates must register for both the SNAP test and the specific programmes they wish to apply for. Paying only the SNAP fee does not automatically register you for any institute’s programme.

SNAP 2026 Exam Pattern (Revised)

SNAP 2026 features a revised pattern with four sections instead of the previous three. The total number of questions remains 60, duration is 60 minutes, and the exam is objective (MCQs with four options each). There is no sectional time limit—you manage the entire 60 minutes as you wish. 

Marking Scheme 

- Correct answer: +1 mark 

- Incorrect answer: –0.25 mark (25% negative marking) 

- Unanswered: 0 

Section-wise Breakup

This is a significant change from previous years, where Analytical & Logical Reasoning carried 25 questions and General English had 15 in some cycles. The new Ethics section tests decision-making, values, and ethical scenarios relevant to business and workplace contexts.

Mode: Computer-Based Test at designated centres. 

Language: English. 

Attempts: Up to three; best score counts. No normalisation across tests. 

The exam rewards speed and accuracy more than deep conceptual difficulty. Aim for roughly one minute per question while prioritising accuracy to minimise negative marking.

SNAP 2026:  Syllabus Overview

While the official bulletin does not publish a detailed topic list, the expected syllabus based on the structure and past patterns is as follows:

1. General English (10 questions) 

Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability, Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Correction, Para Jumbles, Idioms & Phrases, Synonyms/Antonyms.

2. Analytical & Logical Reasoning (20 questions) 

Puzzles, Seating Arrangements, Blood Relations, Coding-Decoding, Series, Analogies, Critical Reasoning, Syllogisms, Clocks & Calendars, Input-Output, Directions.

3. Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency (20 questions) 

Arithmetic (Percentages, Profit & Loss, Time-Speed-Distance, Averages, Ratio), Algebra, Geometry, Number System, Data Interpretation (Tables, Charts, Graphs), Data Sufficiency.

4. Ethics, Morality and Values (10 questions) – New 

This section is expected to include situational judgement questions involving corporate social responsibility, workplace ethics, whistleblowing, discrimination, sustainability, data privacy, stakeholder conflicts, and moral dilemmas in business settings. Preparation can draw from XAT Decision Making-type questions and general awareness of business ethics.

Practice previous SNAP papers and official mocks once available on the portal. Time management and selective attempt strategy are crucial.

Eligibility Criteria for SNAP 2026

To appear for SNAP 2026 and be eligible for SIU MBA programmes, candidates must meet the following:

Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university or institution of national importance with a minimum of 50% marks (or equivalent grade). 

For SC/ST candidates: Minimum 45% marks. 

Final-year students of bachelor’s degree programmes can also apply, provided they complete the degree with the required percentage by the time of admission. 

Some specialised programmes (e.g., Business Analytics, Infrastructure Development & Management, dual-degree programmes) may have additional subject-specific or work-experience requirements. Always check the individual institute’s eligibility page.

Note: There is no upper age limit. International candidates follow a separate process, but this guide focuses on Indian students.

Reservation policy of SIU applies as per government norms (SC, ST, Differently Abled, etc.). SIBM Nagpur has additional seats for Nagpur domicile candidates.

Application Process for SNAP 2026 – Step by Step

Step 1: Visit the Official Website 

Go to snaptest.org and click on the “Register” or “Apply Now” / “2026 Session Registration” link.

Step 2: New Registration 

 Enter personal details: Name (as per Class 10 certificate), Date of Birth, Email ID, Mobile Number. 

 Create a password. 

 Accept terms and conditions. 

 An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile and email. Verify it.

 Step 3: Receive SNAP ID 

After successful registration, you will receive a SNAP ID and password via email/SMS. Use this for all future logins and communications.

Step 4: Fill the Application Form 

- Complete personal, academic, and contact details accurately. 

- Select the number of SNAP attempts (1, 2 or 3). 

- Choose preferred test cities (you can select multiple preferences). 

- Select the programmes/institutes you wish to apply for.
