After facing drought like conditions for two months, the south Indian state of Karnataka has been hit by incessant rains for the past week.
Coastal Karnataka has reportedly received the heaviest rainfall and the people there have been battling precarious weather. Parts of Udupi are also severely flooded.
Areas such as Raichur, Shimoga, Hassan and Belgaum have also received heavy rainfalls after facing drought like conditions for a couple of months.
However, the rainfall has brought with it some cheer. The rainfall has caused water levels in the Kabini and the Almaty dams to reach full capacity relieving thousands of farmers.
