Savio was gifted a box of chocolates by his cousin for performing well at the HSC examination. Savio, however, did not like the chocolates and decided to sell them to his college friends.

On the first day, he took the entire box with him to college and sold some of the chocolates. Seeing that he could make a nice profit if he converted this into a business, he purchased chocolates from a shop that were equal to those left in the box and took all the chocolates to sell the next day. He ended up selling as many chocolates as he had sold the previous day.

On the third day, he purchased twice as many chocolates as were left on the previous day and took all the chocolates he had to sell. Yet again he sold the same amount of chocolates as he had sold the previous day.

On the fourth day, he purchased exactly three times the previous day's remainder and took all the chocolates he had to sell. Again, he managed to sell off the same number of chocolates.

On the fifth day, he purchased four times as many chocolates that were left over the previous day and, by evening, sold off all the chocolates he had and earned himself quite a princely sum. However, his cousin learned of his deed from one of his friends and took the money away from him.

Calculate the smallest number of chocolates gifted to Savio by his cousin and also the number of chocolates he sold everyday, if he sold the same amount of chocolates everyday. Provide a detailed explanation along with your answer.

NOTE: The answer is NOT zero.
