Mr. Ash Berg owned a posh circular office in one of the world's richest cities. Inside the office was a circular
conference room that was concentric with the outer circle. One day, Mr. Berg heard that their clients from abroad were
planning to pay his office a visit the following week. In order to impress the clients, he started making preparations in
great gusto. Amongst other things, he decided to change the carpet in the office. The ring-shaped corridor between the outer
wall and the conference room would be carpeted wall-to-wall. However, he loved puzzling people and this gave him an idea to
puzzle the carpet-maker. Instead of telling him the area of the carpet required, he printed out a true-to-scale map of his
office on a piece of paper. Then he drew a tangent to the conference room that would be a chord in the outer circle. He
informed the carpet-maker that the chord was 100 metres long and also that he wanted the carpet within 24 hours. When the
carpet-maker got this message, he laughed out aloud and said, "Hah! This is too easy! I know the area of the carpet required.
