CHOOSING A COURSE AND FORMAT

1. In what formats are TestFunda courses available?
   Courses are available in 3 formats:
   
   Online Format: This needs you to connect to the internet, but gives you the flexibility of easily accessing your courseware and scores from any computer
   
   CD-Based Format:This allows you to install the CD on one computer and use the course offline at any time
   
   Print Format: This comprises conventional paper-based books and tests
   
   
2. 2. Can I buy the courses in the format that I want i.e.some courses on CD and others in Print or Online format.
   
   Yes. For example, if you choose to buy Total MBAfunda 2010, you can buy the Print format of Total MBA Skill Builder ( to avail of the training courses with lessons and practice tests for CAT, XAT, JMET, IIFT, NMAT, FMS and SNAP) and the CD format of Total MBA Test Centre (to get full length Mock Tests for each of the above mentioned tests).
   
   
3. Which MBA entrance tests do TestFunda courses cover?
   
   TestFunda courses are currently available for CAT 2010 and 6 other MBA exams: XAT, JMET, IIFT, NMAT, FMS and SNAP for MBA admissions in 2011.
   Coursewares are also available for MHCET, GCET, TANCET & ICET.
   
   You can choose which courseware you want:
   
   
   1. CATfunda: This course contains all the training material and full-length mock tests required for CAT 2010 prep. It contains the CAT Skill Builder and the CAT Test Centre.
      
      
   2. Total MBAfunda: This course contains all the training material and full-length mock tests required for CAT 2010 and six other national-level MBA entrance tests (XAT 2011, JMET 2011, IIFT 2010 NMAT 2011, FMS 2011 and SNAP 2010) It contains the Total MBA Skill Builder and Total MBA Test Center.
      Longer-duration versions (2 year courseware) of both these courses are also available. You can use these if you are planning to join an MBA program that starts in the academic year 2012.

4. What is the difference between Skill Builder and Test Centre courses?
   
   Skill Builder courses provide concept training. They contain Lessons (Concept Builders) with theory and solved examples, Concept Practice Exercises, and Practice Tests at three levels:
   
   
   • Concept Tests: Test you on a specific concept (e.g. Linear Equations)
     
     
   • Actual Tests: Also test you on a specific concept and provide higher difficulty level questions
     
     
   • Topic Tests: Test you on all the concepts in a topic (e.g. Algebra)
     
     
   After you have completed all the topics in a Module, you are provided with a Module Test which tests you on all the topics in that specific Module (e.g. Verbal Ability)
   
   All Skill Builder tests and exercises give you a performance report and a solution key with detailed, step-by-step solutions for every question.
   
   Test Centre courses have Full-Length Mock Tests and other Customized Full-Length Practice Tests.
   
   After you complete a full-length test, you are given access to several detailed performance reports and a national percentile to help you see where you stand and plan further study.      Smaller courses like Verbal Ability (2010), Quantitative Ability (2010), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (2010) cover areas from a specific module of CAT. The areas covered in each of these courses include those that are common to all national-level Indian MBA entrance tests.

7. Can I buy different formats even for smaller component courses within the Skill Builder or the Test Centre?
   
   Yes. For example, you can buy the Verbal Ability Skill Builder in the CD format and the Quantitative Ability Skill Builder in the Print format.
   Buying the Print or CD format of Test Centre allows you to access the Online format of Test Centre as well.
   
   
8. Can I access Online and CD courses indefinitely? Or does access to TestFunda courseware expire after a given time?
   
   You can access 2010 courses (Online or CD) for one year i.e. up to 31-Mar-2011.
   
   You can access 2010-2011 courses (Online or CD courses) for two years (i.e. up to 31-Mar-2012).
   
   Although Print courseware (printed books and tests) does not have an expiry date, the online access to reports, which you get free with the Print format of Test Centre courses, expires, just like CD and Online formats, after one or two years.
   


9. I work at a full-time job and can't spend many hours on preparation everyday. Will TestFunda courses help me?

PAYMENT AND PRICES

1. What are the payment modes/ options?
   
   You can buy any course and pay online using a Debit Card, a Credit Card, by net-banking or by Direct-Debit from your bank account.
   
   You can also pay for any course by sending us a Demand Draft, Cheque, Cash or a Banker’s Cheque.
   
   To make any purchase first go to the purchase page, choose your courses and then choose a payment mode.
   
   
2. Can I make online purchases for the CD and Print formats of a course?
   
   Yes. The payment options available to buy TestFunda courseware are the same for all courses, irrespective of the course format (CD, Online or Print).
   
   
3. I want to buy one of the smaller component courses e.g. Verbal Ability 2010 for Rs. 1250, to try out TestFunda courseware. Later, if I like the courseware and want to upgrade to one of the more comprehensive courses that includes the material I already bought e.g. CAT Skill Builder - 2010 (Rs. 2975), how much will I have to pay?
   
   You can buy the larger comprehensive course later and adjust the cost against your earlier purchase. So you only need to pay the difference between the prices of the two courses. A processing fee of Rs. 100 will be added to the net payable amount. Amount adjusted will be net of any taxes.
   
   In the given example, to purchase Complete Skill Builder - CAT 2010, you now need to pay only Rs. 1825 (Rs. 2975 - Rs. 1250 + Rs. 100), not the entire Rs. 2975.
   
   You need to make the second purchase within three months of the first one.Or else you will have to pay the entire amount
   
   
4. I bought the Online format of a course, now I want access to the CD or Print format also. How much will I have to pay?
   
   For Test Centre courses (courses that provide full-length tests) you can retain online access and get the CDs in addition, by paying Rs. 300. Or you can get access to the Print format by paying only the price difference, based on which Test Centre course you bought earlier. Here too, you retain online access as well.
   
   For Skill Builder courses (courses that provide training) you cannot swap formats.

1. I don’t understand something in a TestFunda course I bought, how do I get help from you?
   
   When you buy a TestFunda course you get access to the Ask-a-Doubt facility, where you can ask our content experts for help.
   
   Don’t understand a specific paragraph in a lesson, or a particular step in a solved example? Unsure or unclear about how the correct answer was arrived at in any test question?
   
   Post a question online. We will respond within 1 working day. You can repeatedly ask doubts until each concept is clear to you.
   
   
2. I bought a TestFunda course, but I need some general help/advice related to my preparation. Can I use the Ask-a-Doubt facility for this?
   
   Yes. You can ask our experts any doubts related to lessons, questions or content that you do not understand. You can even ask for general advice (e.g. questions related to group discussions, personal interviews, the courses available in a particular B-school etc.).

3. Is the Ask-a-Doubt facility available to users of CD-based and Print format courses?
   
   Yes. The Ask-a-Doubt facility is available to users of CD-based and Print format courses. But you need to go online to post doubts and view solutions.
   

CD Format

1. If I buy the CD format of the course, when and how are the CD(s) dispatched?
   
   The CD will be dispatched to you within 5-7 working days.However it may or may not have all the contents. As per our content schedule date, the other content update patches will be made available as per schedule in the 'downloads' section of TestFunda.
   
   All dispatches will be done through the courier service DTDC.
   
   
2. For the CD-based format, will I need to use the CD every time I access the course, or is there a one-time installation?
   
   You just need to install the contents of the CD once on your computer and need not use the CD again.
   

Print Format

1. If I buy the Print format of a course, when and how will the books and tests be couriered to me?
   
   The books and tests will be couriered to you in installments. All dispatches will be done through DTDC Couriers.
   
   After you purchase the courseware, the Print format of the Skill Builder will be shipped to you within 5-7 working days. The Test Centre course (various full length Mock Tests) will be shipped as per their schedule.
   
   
2. What is the schedule of the Test Centre?

3. With the Print format of a Test Centre course (courses that provide full-length tests) will I receive printed answer keys and detailed solutions for each full-length mock test?
   
   Yes. Apart from the printed test booklet, you will be couriered a printed answer key and detailed solution for each full-length mock test.
   
   With the Print format of Test Centre courses, you also get online access free. So you can choose which full-length Mock Tests you want to attempt online, and which ones you want to attempt on paper.
   
   After finishing a test on paper, you can go online and enter the options you chose, to see your score, national percentile and detailed reports. But if you just want to know your score, without going online, you can use the printed answer key and detailed solutions to do so.
   

Limited Online Access For CD & Print Formats

1. Will I get any online access to the course if I purchase the CD or Print format?
   
   With the Print or CD format of Test Centre courses (courses that provide full-length tests), you get online access free! You get to choose which Mock Tests you want to attempt online, and which ones you want to attempt on paper or CD.
   
   After finishing a test on paper, you can go online and enter the options you chose, to see your score, national percentile and detailed reports.
   
   For Print or CD format Skill Builder courses you do not get online access.
   
   
2. How will I get the reports for Full-Length Mock Tests, if I buy them in the CD or Print format?
   
   In the case of CD format, all the reports will be available to you immediately on your computer after you have finished the test offline. But in order to get your National Percentile, you will need to connect to the internet and check your percentile online.
   
   In the case of Print format, you will be sent OMR sheets along with the full length Mock Test papers. Once you have filled up your answers on the OMR sheets, you can upload the answers online and view detailed reports along with your National Percentile.
