Payment Related Questions
What are the payment options for subscribing to TestFunda?
1. You can pay
online
with any of these:
- Credit Card: American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Diner's Club
- Direct debit from your bank account (For 20 major banks)
- Itz Cash (a convenient payment option if you don't want to use a credit card or net-banking account)
2. You can even pay by sending us a cheque/Demand Draft, or depositing cash at our office.
3. Alternatively you can use the COD(Cash on delivery) option, where we will send the Cash collection courier company at your doorstep.
Once I make the payment, do I get access to paid content immediately?
If you make an online payment, or pay by cash, your account will be activated immediately. In case of payment by cheque, your account will be activated within 24 hours of the cheque amount being credited to our account.
If I buy a part of the courseware initially, and later on decide to buy the complete courseware, is my earlier payment adjusted?
Yes, we will adjust for the payment you made earlier, but you are charged a processing fee of Rs.100. This is applicable only if your upgrade purchase is within 3 months of the earlier purchase.
Is online payment secure?
Online payment is very secure. We do not store any of your credit card or bank account information on our servers. All online payments are processed through CCAvenue. They use 128-bit encryption and the latest secure technology to process online payments.
CATfunda Content Questions
What are Skill Builder and Test Centre?
At the Skill Builder you learn and practice the concepts required for CAT. The Test Centre is where you can launch full-length exams and improve your test-taking skills.
Skill Builder contains 95 Concept Builders (lessons) with detailed solved examples, and Concept Practice exercises where you can practice your skills by solving questions. Each lesson and exercise covers a key concept from one of the three modules: Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation. Topic-level and Module-level practice exercises give you practice across multiple concepts and topics
The Test Centre helps improve your test-taking skills like accuracy, question selection, and time allocation. It has a wide range of full-length Mock Tests (iCATs) – that familiarize you with the patterns of past CAT papers and prepare you for surprises as well. Test Center contains 16 iCATs, 4 Personalised Post Assessment Tests(iPATs) and 8 customized Practice Tests. Each iCAT is followed by a personalised Study Guide and detailed analysis reports.
What are iCATs, iXATs, iSNAPs, etc?
iCATs are full-length mock tests that prepare you for the actual CAT. We have analyzed patterns and trends in past CAT papers and have designed a majority of full-length mock tests which will give you a feel of the actual CAT pattern and prepare you for any surprises that the next CAT might throw up! For each full length Mock Test, you get a percentile score, to see where you stand at the national level, and reports with a detailed analysis to help you improve your test-taking skills. Based on your performance in each iCAT, you also get a personalised Study Guide (only available if you buy the Skill Builder component) to study and practice what you are weakest at. Similarly, iXATs are full length XAT tests and so on.
What is a personalised Study Guide?
After you complete a full length mock test, we analyze your performance in the test and recommend important concepts for you to study and practice taking into account both your performance and the importance of the concept in CAT. So a Study Guide is a personalised compilation of Concept Builders (lessons with solved examples) and Concept Practice exercises.
What is a customized Practice Test?
After every set of full length mock tests, in addition to an iPAT (Personalised Post Assessment Test) we also give you two new full length tests (customised Practice Test) for you further improve your performance. These tests are personalised so you will not get a national percentile score.
What about the unattempted questions in each full length mock test?
Each full length Mock Test is designed to test your skills at selecting questions so you will not be able to attempt all the questions in the allotted time. However after attempting a full length mock test, you might want to go back and practice the questions you left unattempted, at your leisure with no time limit.
What is Ask-a-Doubt?
The Ask-a-Doubt feature allows you to ask our content experts for advice on any aspect of your CAT preparation. In addition, to facilitate your study, we have integrated the Ask-a-Doubt feature into the reports of every test and exercise. So all you need to do is click the Ask-a-Doubt button on any question, of any test or exercise and we will clarify your doubts within one working day. If you still do not understand, you can keep asking until you are satisfied.
Is there any tutoring provided in a classroom setting?
No, there is no classroom training. You can use the Ask a Doubt functionality to get answers to your questions from a content expert. In addition, we will conduct GD / PI practice sessions for shortlisted candidates in select cities. You can also use the forums to discuss CAT strategies and questions related to the study-material.
How will TestFunda help me prepare for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI)?
There are GD/PI videos and theory modules present on the website. The website also offers GD capsules on current affairs which will keep you up to date on all the latest happenings.
Do I need to attempt the iCATs within a specified time-frame?
iCATs are National Online Mock CATs that can be attempted any time after they are made available on the website. It is not that they have to be attempted on a particular day or within some days. These iCATs are available till the subscription expires.
When can I get the reports for the tests?
The reports are available to you immediately after you have completed the test. You do not have to wait for 5-6 days to get an assessment of how you have done on a test.
How is the overall percentile for an iCAT generated and why does it keep changing?
The percentile for a test is calculated based on your performance vis-a-vis the subscribers who have attempted that test before you. It is dynamic in nature and keeps on changing as more and more subscribers take it.
For example, say on 3rd July, you take iCAT 3 and you get a percentile. By 10th July more subscribers will have attempted the same test. On 10th July your percentile is recalculated on real time basis, based on the performance of the new test takers.
What is the validity of the course?
The courseware for 2010 is valid up to March 31, 2011.
The courseware for 2010/11 is valid up to March 31, 2012.
What is the nature of the Skill builder? Is it online or offline?
The Skill Builder is available in the following formats:
Online
CD
Print
If I buy the CAT 2010/11 course would the Test Centre and the Skill Builder be same for both years?
The course material for CAT 2011 would be revised and upgraded. The Test Centre would contain new tests and the Skill Builder would contain updated and revised theory material.
Product Usage and Technology
What are the system requirements for using TestFunda?
You need a PC with the Windows OS, a browser (see supported browsers below) with the Adobe Flash Player installed (version 9 and above). For the online format of the courses you will need to have access to the internet.

- Firefox (version 2.0 and above)
-Safari (version 3 and above)

All TestFunda courses are also available in CD and Print formats.
Can I use the online version of TestFunda on a low-bandwidth internet connection - for example a dial-up connection?
Yes, TestFunda works well on low bandwidth connections as well.
Do I need to be connected to internet continuously to use the online format of TestFunda?
You need an active internet connection to launch a test, report or study material. Once a test is underway, you can continue even if your internet connection breaks. Once your internet connection is restored, you can log in to TestFunda and your test results will be updated. In the CD format, you can access the lessons and attempt the tests & get reports without an internet connection. You will need the same only to view your national percentile.
Will I lose my scores if my internet connection goes off in between?
You need an active internet connection to launch a test, report or study material. Once a test is underway, you can continue even if your internet connection breaks. Once your internet connection is restored, you can log in to TESTfunda and your test results will be updated.
If there is a power failure when I am taking a test, will I lose my scores?
No. Whatever you did up to that point of time will be preserved. Once you the power is restored, you can login again and resume the test right from where you got cut-off.
I don't have an internet connection. Can I subscribe to TestFunda?
Yes. All the TestFunda course material is also available in the Print and CD format. You can choose which format you are most comfortable with.
Can I save my test attempt and resume it later?
Yes. If you are interrupted for some reason, you can save your test and resume it later.
I have an 8 year old PC. Will the online and CD format of TestFunda work on it?
Yes, Testfunda works on old machines as well. Please see the system requirements for details of the minimum configuration.
